Welcome to September’s ad-hoc update on new material published onto the Crop Circle Research Archive.
As ever, the amount of updates to the website never reflects the amount of work going on behind the scenes. In the past few weeks there’s been some lengthy and interesting discussions around three possible crop circles north of St Petersburg in Russia this summer which look suspiciously like seriously bad lodging were in not for the numerous inexplicable phenomena associated with them. There’s also been some interesting AI research with crop circles being fed into the agents. The output is very questionable but this does not negate the fact that it is a worthy line of research that may yet yield results.
New material available on the website includes:
- Pete Devenport and Judy Young (of Jupiter Powerwear) being added as donors to The Archive. We’re really pleased to now be the custodian of Judy and Pete’s amazing original crop circle t-shirt designs as well as a mass of ephemera linked to the considerable number of events they attended in the 1990s
- The Videos page has been renamed Vidpod to better reflect its content as it now hosts podcasts as well as videos, and a couple have already been added
- The Oliver’s Castle Video: Crop Circle Proof or Perfect Hoax?
- Balls of Light and Chalk Downs: Evidence Over Belief in the Circle Mystery
- Video analysis of the overnight appearance of the 7th July 2007 OM 7-7-7 formation in East Field has also been added. This unlabelled video was found in the recent additions that were picked up from Geoff Ambler’s archive
